First of all, apologies to everyone who has been checking my blog for updates. I'm sorry I haven't updated it in the last couple of days. I do try to keep it updated as regularly as possible as I know you are anxious to find out how I've been doing.I'm feeling much better the last couple of days and my cough has all but cleared up. It's been difficult to stay indoors and not do very much over the last week or ten days but it has definitely helped to clear up my cold in time for Tuesday. I don't normally get colds but when I do they usually last for a day or two so it's been tough to realise that my body can't fight things in the same way it normally does.

We travelled home from Swindon on Friday evening and the roads were quite bad - the main roads were passable but dual carriageways only had one lane in operation. Once we got to Bicester it got worse! The snowfall was heavier here and the roads didn't seem to be treated at all. Getting into the housing estate was a challenge as it was very icy and slippy. When we got home there was so much snow that we couldn't get into the driveway and poor Dave had to shovel it all away with the lid of a dustbin! before he could drive the car in.
He did venture out to the shops yesterday but got stuck in the snow four times. We eventually got to take down all the Christmas decorations yesterday and it was good to sort out lots of things in the house.
Here are some photos of the snow in our back garden. We're hoping that it doesn't snow too heavily tonight and that the roads are safe to travel to London tomorrow. I have an ultrasound scan tomorrow afternoon and then chemotherapy on Tuesday. We're planning to set out early tomorrow morning to make sure we can get there and we'll stay in London tomorrow night.
It's already my third chemotherapy session out of eight. It's amazing how quickly they come around and I'm really looking forward to ticking another one off the list! Once the first four are over, the next four are planned for every two weeks instead of every three.

That's an incredible amount of snow! Nathan is at home from school this morning and wants to send you a message: 'I hope you get better soon and that you enjoy the snow and making snowmen and snowballs to throw at Dave.I love you!' Abi's message is 'My mummy is coming to see you soon. Hi Dave!!'. PRaying for your travels today. Love Nathan, Abi and Carolyn
