  1. Dave, your tribute to Sharon at the church yesterday shared so many wonderful memories too beautiful to forget. In the words of Van Morrison, Sharon lived life “On the Bright Side of the Road". Amdist all the sadness yesterday, those of us amongst her work colleagues who had the pleasure of knowing her will always remember what a positive and inspirational person she was. PAUL

  2. Dave,

It has been years at this stage since we have seen you or Sharon. At the time you last knew us, probably 10-15 years ago now, we were both single and not even in touch with each other- we're now married. :)Yet we both knew and spent time with Sharon through different circles back in the day.

Peter my hubby was remembering with great fondness the time ye had all gone camping and Sharon covered your very snazzy car in shaving foam. Is it any wonder she made such an impression of you!

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Sharon in the very early days of RCI back in 1998. She was rarely without a smile on her face, and I know I will not be alone in saying she was a joy to be around. It was a blessing to have another Christian girl with me in the workplace, and to enjoy that fellowship even outside of that, as we had many mutual Christian friends. We both remember Sharon as one of those rare gems that just shone with the love of Christ.

We wanted so much to sympathise with you after the amazing church service, but had to return home before the opportunity came. What a tribute to your beautiful woman of God, of whom we only have the happiest of memories.

We were reminded on the day of the funeral that this life is so fleeting,( all men are like the grass) and real life truly is on the other side. We do not grieve as those with no hope. There are so many unanswered questions and it is impossible at times to know what God is doing. Please know that although it has been a long time since we have even seen either of you, that we are praying for you now and asking God specifically for three things for you. Strength, Comfort and Courage.

You are in all our thoughts.

May God hold you now in the palm of His hand and may you know His steadfast presence in the midst of all you are going through.

    Always in Christ,

Peter and Fiona Simpson ( nee O'Leary) xx
