Everywhere is covered in a blanket of white today! There's almost a foot of snow outside at the moment - it snowed a lot overnight and only stopped snowing at lunchtime today. It looks beautiful.... but not so good if you're trying to get out and about.
I was due to go to London for a scan this morning but decided not to travel as everyone was advised to stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. I have rerranged for Monday instead so hopefully the snow will be cleared by then.
Yesterday was a down day - I'm still coughing and sniffling a bit & had a headache last night so I'm concerned that my cold won't be cleared up in time for my next chemotherapy on Tuesday. And struggling with having to stay in and do very little all the time....it's difficult to get used to the slower pace of life but I know it's necessary!
Being cheered up at the moment by watching a neighbour shovelling the snow off his pathway...in his shorts!!

Hey you guys,
ReplyDeleteSorry you didn't get to have the scan, But well done for being sensible, it's hard to change plans - it's only snow - but it is hampering a lot of people, Dublin almost came to a standstill this evening.
So did he have nice legs?? Only messing, Burrrr. Hope you are gargling salty water and that you aren't in too much pain with your cold and headache. Thinking and praying for you both. Hug each other from me, please.
Hey Sharon,
ReplyDeleteBack in Toronto since yesterday and have been catching up on your blog today. Oh my god the weather was terrible over Christmas at home so I dont blame you missing the scan. Best of Luck with it though. Thinking of you always. Rachel xx
Hi Shar,
ReplyDeletePraying and hoping today was a better day for you girlie - especially that the nasty cough and headache ease. If I could physically give that cough a good kick for you, you know I would!!
Girl you were so very wise to stay home. The news was showing parts of England and all the abandoned cars everywhere. What a nitemare. The same is happening here though Cork City is so far escaping the worst of it. It's 2010 and how are we coping with the ice - by doing what our grandparents did -wearing socks over our shoes!!!! :-).
Will be storming Heaven for you that the nasty cough and headache pass well before Tuesday and you can have the chemo.
So much love to you girl
Claire xoxo
